Precautions for purchasing PVC edge banding?

What precautions should be taken when using PVC edge banding? How should we judge whether there are any errors in the use process, so as to prevent the occurrence of error events in a timely manner.
Precautions for purchasing PVC edge banding strips
A. The surface is smooth, without bubbles or pull lines, and the glossiness is moderate.
B. The surface and back surface are flat, with uniform thickness and width.
C. Reasonable hardness, higher elasticity, better quality, and stronger wear resistance.
D. After trimming the edges, the closer the side color of the edge banding strip is to the surface color, the better. The whitening is not obvious, and the glossiness is good. Otherwise, the material used for the edge banding strip is too poor, resulting in inconsistent overall color of the finished furniture.
E: The back surface treatment agent is evenly applied, and generally transparent and white treatment agents are preferred. If the back surface is not properly treated, it will result in a low degree of adhesion or even failure to adhere after edge sealing.
F. The color of each batch of edge banding must be consistent. The smaller the color difference between different batches, the better the quality.
G. The trimming and cutting are not brittle and have no gaps.
H. Paste transparent box sealing adhesive (adhesive paper used for sealing cartons) onto the edge of the sealing tape, rub it back and forth with your fingers at the position where the box sealing adhesive is affixed for several times, and then pull it up to check whether the edge banding tape has discoloration.
Advantages of PVC edge banding
1、 PVC edge banding is relatively light compared to metals and plexiglass. The reason for its lightness is not because it is a polymer compound, but because it is an organic compound, that is, composed of lighter elements such as carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen.
2、 The material of PVC edge banding is plastic, which is easy to process. Plastics have plasticity, that is, they deform after being heated or pressurized, and maintain their original shape after cooling or pressure disappears. Edge banding strips can be processed into their respective shapes by extrusion, such as T-shaped, H-shaped, D-shaped, V-shaped, I-shaped, and so on.
3、 PVC edge banding has excellent quality and low price, and the price fluctuation of plastic is far less than that of metal.
4、 Plastic does not decay or rust. However, this property also poses a serious problem for humans: Due to the non perishability of plastics, a large amount of plastic waste cannot be absorbed and decomposed by nature, resulting in a certain degree of environmental pollution.
